Ron Paul won't go down

The Daily Iowan ....... 06.27.2007
- Universitty of Iowa Student Newspaper

Commentary
- by Christopher Reardon
-- UI law student

Ron Paul has been excluded from this Saturday's candidate forum hosted by Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance and The Daily Iowan hit the mark in ridiculing this decision. However, he is not about to "fade into obscurity."

An event has already been scheduled in Des Moines that coincides with the candidate forum, and Paul supporters from across Iowa and the USA will show up to hear him speak. Paul has the support of hippies and grandmothers, bikers and middle management. This is because he is the genuine article --- a true supporter of American-style freedom.

He is unequivocating in his antagonism to the warfare-welfare state, and he will do something about it. Ron Paul supporters come from all walks of life, but we all have one thing in common. We believe that we were born as free men and women, and we refuse to put up with the tyrannical policies that have dominated Washington during the 20th century and have come into blindingly sharp relief during the past seven years of the Cheney-Bush administration.

Furthermore, Ron Paul has an opportunity to win because the competition is a bunch of hacks. Where was Hillary's opposition to the war in 2003 ? ( She is not actually opposed to it now but says it has been "mismanaged", perhaps she would have slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people more efficiently. )

Rudy is as belligerent as they come, as is McCain.

Obama supports economic sanctions on Iran, an act of war that ends up starving women and children ( see Iraq ).

And as far as taxes go, what other candidate has proposed the abolition of the IRS ? The IRS robs the American middle class to feed the corporate-WARfare state, but the middle class is waking up to this.

Enter Ron Paul.

Brownback goes with wetbacks

United States Senator Sam Brownback (R- Kansas)
in a surprise move to many of his Iowa supporters has decided to go with the pandering "defacto amnesty" plan.

"Too bad his bus never made it to Marshalltown" said Zack Jones, University of Iowa Poli Sci major.

You were getting so close Sam!

With Department of Homeland Stupidity Director Michael Chertoff with Neil Cavuto on the Fox News Chamnnel tries to explain away Bush43's gaffe - you have to laugh - although there is ONLY 14 more months of this to the GOP nomination convention September 1-5, 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

- this is getting way too FUNNY !

Elizabeth Edwards is a moron

Two hundred and twenty years ago this summer the likes of Madison, Hamilton, Yates, Davie, Bedford and the rest of the gang of 55 forged a document together in a place called Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Could someone please inform the wife of ex-Senator John Edwards - who called in to MSNBC's Hardball Plaza show with constitutionalist lawyer Ann Coulter tonight - that Iowans are not about to give up on the U.S. Constitution quite yet - especially including the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment - all just because her lame husband pretty boy wants to be President!

With an idiot like that as First Lady, she'd make Bill Clinton's wife look like a genius.

Willard Romney perplexed

Willard Romney and his Iowa "focus" group is perplexed.

WILLARD - Mitt - as he would be preferred to be called, since he is embarrassed by his God chosen name resembling a rodent - ROMNEY is thoroughly perplexed by his single digit performance in Eastern Iowa after spending all that money on buffets, busses, and DVDs sent out promoting his

"STRONG. NEW. LEADERSHIP."

campaign in Iowa.

Hey Willard, housse come you could
NEVER win a re-election ? - even once ?
Is it cause they hate ya' in Massachusetts -
- just like they hate ya' NOW across all of Eastern Iowa ?

Willard Romney's alignment with Ed Failor's Iowans for Tax Relief group is gonna help land him in jail when the dots get connected !

Congressman Ron Paul in Iowa Saturday

The public is invited to visit and hear ten-term Texas Congressman Dr. Ron Paul at a rally in Iowa on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the location listed below to close out the very successful second quarter campaign fundraising for the USAF Vietnam vet.

Hy-Vee Hall, Room C
Iowa Events Center

Linn County GOP Poll Results

ABC affiliate Channel 9 KCRG reported on it's Sunday Evening News across Eastern Iowa the results of the Linn County GOP Poll over the weekend.

Earlier the ABC affiliate had broadcast live from Newton, Iowa along with ESPN, the Inaugural Ethanol IndyCar 250. Danica Patrick's Indy Car had been at an Iowa City auto dealer earlier in the week - and as much as 4.8 G's were endured by the Indy Car drivers on Sunday won by reigning Indianapolis 500 champion Dario Franchitti.

But I regress to illuminate all youse who think Iowa is a bunch of farmers on hayride wagons . . . like Westwood One's Dennis Miller . . . .

Both Willard (Mitt) Romney and Rudy Giuliani were listed in SINGLE DIGITS each in this key GOP industrial base and fast growth county along the Iowa River Basin that includes corporate giants ADM and Quaker Oats.

Undeclared possible GOP presidential candidate and ex-Sen. Fred Thompson won the Linn County GOP poll results, with U.S. Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kansas) and Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-Colorado) each also getting into double digits.

Paul's forum snub sparks ire

An Iowa forum for presidential-nomination candidates refuses to invite Republican-nomination hopeful Ron Paul of Texas

On June 30, Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance plan to host a presidential-nomination candidates forum in Des Moines.

Of the 10 hopefuls who participated in the first three Republican debates, Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, is the ONLY candidate who WAS NOT INVITED to attend the event.

Paul was singled out for exclusion

Edward Failor, the executive vice president of Iowans for Tax Relief.
said "We had to make a cutoff line somewhere, and that's what we did"

Kent Snyder, the chairman of Paul's campaign, was not satisfied

Failor said that Paul was a fringe candidate

But look at the candidates they did invite :Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Tommy Thompson and John Cox.

Dr. Paul is so far ahead of them it's not even funny." with papers filed with the Federal Election Committe on March 12.

" The bizarre thing about this is that Paul is rated at the top of the chart by the National Taxpayer's Union and Failor is on it's board of directors," Snyder said.

Ten-term Congressman Paul "just spoke to this organization's board on June 14."

John Berthoud, the National Taxpayer Union's President said "We have named Congressman Paul the 'Taxpayer's Best friend four times and he wins an award from us EVERY year.

Iowans for Tax Relief makes it's own decision, and shall suffer the consequences.

The Republican Party of Iowa spokesperson will only investigate and query the group after the event on June 30.

It's just an unethical sort of thing.

The State Attorney General's office has been contacted regarding this malfeasance of the nonprofit group based in Muscatine.

Iowa Attorney General Office advises this morning

We just got off the phone with the Iowa Attorney General's office regarding Ed Failor Sr., Ed Failor Jr., and the Iowans For Tax Relief at taxrelief.org regarding their nonprofit status and their paypal PAC scheme.

Great advice as to how to proceed with the formal complaint against this sham nonprofit.

Have a Happy Summer everbuddy !

And also you too Ed Failor(s) - this will be alot of fun !

Ron Paul in Kansas City

June 22, 2007

Kansas City enthusiastically welcomed Congressman Ron Paul last Friday, June 15th.

Dr. Paul started the day with an interview by the editorial board of the Kansas City Star. Afterwards, he spoke to the National Right to Life Convention where he received a standing ovation. A reporter for the Los Angeles Times then interviewed Dr. Paul for over an hour for a major article to be published in a few weeks. After the interview, Missouri State Representative Jim Guest hosted a luncheon for Dr. Paul. They were joined by Missouri State Representative Brian Yates.

That evening, enthusiasm for Ron Paul’s campaign for president was in full display at the historic Uptown theater in midtown Kansas City. The Ron Paul Kansas City MeetUp group and others organized a rally for Dr. Paul at the Uptown. Theater management estimated the crowd to be over 700 people.

There were people of all ages in the crowd; from all walks for life. They were friendly, energetic and eager to support Dr. Paul's campaign for president. Missouri Representative Jim Guest introduced Congressman Paul to the cheering crowd. They gave Dr. Paul an enthusiastic welcome that would make any of the other presidential candidates envious.

Throughout the day, a two-man camera crew from the New York Times photographed Dr. Paul for an upcoming article in the New York Times Sunday magazine. The crew traveled with Dr. Paul to Phoenix the next day.

Photographs of the Kansas City event are posted at http://flickr.com/photos/92572752@N00/sets/72157600421461719

Thank you Kansas City!

Rudy : "another mistake"

Fox News Channels reports this morning that ex Democrat, ex-Independent Rudy Giuliani (L-Hamastan) says -
"It was a mistake to join the Iraq Study Group."

As a 1969 draft dodger it was ok for me to interrupt the South Carolina debate on May 15 for political grandstanding and to challenge a Vietnam vet - demanding a retraction.
I talk more than read - and they pay me too - 100G's a pop.

And that Wolf Blitzer wimp would never ask me Rudy about New York Sanctuary City under my Queen Rudia rules! - I'll defie Supreme Court rulings against me right up to September 5th - I'll show them --
"Freedom is about Authority" -

All graffitti taggers to be put in jail, but I'll open the borders to illegal aliens 'cause maybe they can't read either and I can pander to them for votes too.
Well, until after 9/11 anyway - way too much in the spotlight then, I gotta be tough on WOT now!

I'll be laughing all the way to the bank - and my defiance of the Bush administration INS rules and policy - everyone is afraid to ask !

It is just like my laugh at habeus corpus - after all Micheal Marchand - an Advocate General of the US Army in Dallas on Tuesday or even CIA General Counsel nominee John Rizzo in DC on Tuesday - would never fess up to the United States having three seperate standards for applying the Geneva convention treaty promises in Afghanistan, Iraq, or at Club Gitmo - or DID they? Me and my Florida friend Rush Limbaugh are all for Club Gitmo - no one remembers Algiers from 1954 to 1962 anyways - we're strong on WOT - with the open borders and all.

Rudy has the lock on the Libertarian Party nomination in May 2008 as our write-in candidate !

AUSTINPHISH - Thanks for the comments austinphish - another great idea -
we are scheduled for a sortof Freedom Fighters July 4th (actually the of evening July 3rd) meetup in Iowa City across from the Sheraton right off the the IC pedestrian mall - it is the same location as the "Hitlary" fopr President Steering Committee uses - with locked doors last night against public ordinance part of the time I might add - she's soooooo politically savvy !

Of course - it is open to the public - learn about Iowa republicans and it will be posted on mediacom cable channel 10 in the Iowa City area - the more the merrier -

Have a great summer everbuddy !

Ron Paul Excluded in Iowa -Part 2

June 20, 2007

Jan Mickelson of WHO News Radio 1040 in Des Moines interviewed Ron Paul 2008 chairman Kent Snyder today about Ron Paul being excluded from the upcoming candidates forum sponsored by Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance. Ed Failor of Iowans for Tax Relief joined the interview later to explain why his group decided to keep Ron Paul out.

"Congressman Ron Paul isn't welcome at the Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance candidates forum. Oversight? Nope. Kent Snyder from Ron Paul's campaign and Ed Failor from ITR exchange words. Lotsa them." -- Wednesday, June 20, 2007, WHO News Radio 1040

Background

Duncan Hunter makes USA Today list of family funds from the congressional coffers

Iowa Dept. of Revenue
v. Ed Failor,
Iowans For Tax Relief, et al.

I was expecting this morning to get a meetup on the schedule and got hit with this news -
it will take a bit of time to catch up now - but I'll have something to send off to MSNBC's Chris Matthews now as well.

First, Ron Paul did just great - as usual - with the short 5 minutes with MSNBC's Chris Jansing yesterday about this time of day.

And Rudy Giuliani was in Des Moines today for a "Policy Address".

But most importantly, regarding the exclusion by Iowans For Tax Relief on June 30th -

I contacted the Iowa Republican Party to ask to talk to Chuck Laudner, Executive Director -
CLaudner@IowaGOP.org - who was in meeting but Eric Johansen explained that they could only contact this organization AFTER the event because they are a nonprofit.

But as a nonprofit they can NOT endorse political candidates under Iowa statutory law - so the Iowans For Tax Relief's exclusion of Ron Paul with the inclusion of Brownback, Gilmore, Huckabee, Romney, Tancredo, and T. Thompson - is in violation of Iowa nonprofit Code. They seem to also be forgetting Alexander Hamilton's words in Federalist Papers No. 83 in Muscatine and the construction of statutes - and the legal principle of exclusio alterius in particular here to the Revised Iowa Nonprofit Corporation Act - Chapter 504 of the Iowa Code.

I may try to get a copy of their Articles of Incorporation as public record but I truly do NOT see how they can get around the specific exclusion of Dr. Paul - it amounts to endorsing of a candidate - or specifically exclusion of an FEC filed candidate. I seriously doubt that they can try this without serious reprucussions to their nonprofit status - especially if Ron Paul WANTS to be included in their forum.

Dr. Paul did great on the Jon Stewart Show a few weeks back and also on the CSPAN coverage of his New Hampshire Public Radio - just fantastic, as well as yesterday on MSNBC's "Super Tuesday".

Keep up the great work everbuddy!

Ron Paul Excluded in Iowa

June 19, 2007

Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines. Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and Tom Tancredo will participate.

Ron Paul, however, will not participate. Why? Because he wasn’t invited.

We heard about this forum from numerous supporters in Iowa who asked why Dr. Paul was not going to participate. Those supporters assumed that Dr. Paul was invited.

The campaign office had not received an invitation so we called this morning; thinking we might have misplaced the invitation or simply overlooked it. Lew Moore, our campaign manager, called Mr. Edward Failor, an officer of Iowans for Tax Relief, to ask about it. To our shock, Mr. Failor told us Dr. Paul was not invited; he was not going to be invited; and he would not be allowed to participate. And when asked why, Mr. Failor refused to explain. The call ended.

Lew then called Mr. Steve Sheffler, president of the Iowa Christian Alliance, to talk with him. Mr. Sheffler did not answer so Lew left a message. He has yet to respond.

Why are the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluding the one Republican candidate who scored at the top of every online poll taken after the MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN debates? Why are they denying Iowans the opportunity to hear from the Republican presidential candidate whose popularity is growing by the day?

We couldn’t get answers to these questions from Messrs. Failor and Sheffler. Maybe you’ll have better luck. Their contact information is below.

It's ironic that on the same day we learned the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluded Dr. Paul from their candidates forum, we received a call from ABC News confirming Dr. Paul’s participation in its nationally broadcast August 5th debate to be held in Des Moines.

Rudy continues freefall v. Hilary

Ex-Dem, ex-Ind., ex-mayor Rudy Giuliani ( L-Hamastan ) continues to lose substantial ground vs. Hitlary Clinton ( D-Pradesh ) in Iowa and across the nation. His 70,000 new boots on the ground idea just doesn't fly - being a draft dodger from 1969 is something he can't get off his back whatever political party doesn't want him. Tough on the al-Queda but afraid of Iowa farmers and ethanol producers and engineers - that is the Rudy everyone from New York knows about.

6.14.2007

Libertarian Rudy Giuliani

The Libertarian Party of Iowa endorses their pro-abortion and open border champion - the ex-mayor of New York Sanctuary City - who is NOW formally committed to those libertarian party values and ideals so dear to US - like sanctuary for felon criminals south of da border--
Florida is gonna love ya' Rudy !

The nominating convention of the Libertarian Party is set for May 2008 and we are so glad that our champion candidate is now committed to our most treasured social issues.

Go Rudy Go !

Ron Paul to speak at the National Right to Life Convention on June 15

See ya' all with our friends in Missouri at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center, 2345 McGee Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64108

more info to follow

also at Uptown Theatre at 5:00pm

Twelve new Commitments from Rudy

Rudia Giuliani's 12 commitments announced today all the while spending his political and personal life - at least from his draft dodger status in 1969 on - breaking at least half or so of the X Commandments

The ex-Democrat, ex-Independent, ex-mayor is presently still working on his third political party "commitment" AND
also his third marriage "commitment" .

We at the Rudy as CEO of 9/11 fan club would love to tell everyone in Florida about his " I AM RESPONSIBLE" placard he keeps on his desk.

Yep, Rudy, we hope everyone knows just how responsible you really are - the bona fide libertarian on abortion and immigration - with your abortion "It's ok" and immigration "sanctuary city" social policy - which is impportant for Supreme Court Justice and other appointments.

Geez, wonder how those commitments are gonna turn out fer ya' Rudy ?

How much Giuliani fears a potential poor showing in Iowa - strong on terror
afraid of Iowa.

Giuliani drops in Fox News poll reported this morning.

In addition to the drop in the Fox News poll reported this weekend, the opinion section of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Sunday Courier has a nice comment by reporter Charlotte Eby - a freelancer from Des Moines - who eloquently states how much Giuliani and McCain "fear the potential poor showing in Iowa" by dropping out.

Send Charlotte Eby applause at chareby@aol.com

And thanks for the comment of chris from Seattle !

Giuliani: Worse Than Bush

Giuliani: Worse Than Bush

"Early Wednesday, May 16th, Charleston, South Carolina. The scene is a town-hall meeting staged by GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, only a day after he wowed a patriotic Republican crowd at a nationally televised debate with a righteous ass-kicking of the party's latest Hanoi Jane, terrorist sympathizer Ron Paul. A bump in the polls later, "America's Mayor" is back on the campaign trail -

Rudy Giuliani is a true American hero, and we know this because he does all the things we expect of heroes these days -- like make $16 million a year, and lobby for Hugo Chávez and Rupert Murdoch, and promote wars without ever having served in the military, and hire a lawyer to call his second wife a "stuck pig," and organize absurd, grandstanding programs against minor foreign artists, and generally drift through life being a shameless opportunist with an outsize ego"

- excerpt from Rolling Stone
Check out the full scoop on Rudy and the comments at http://www.rollingstone.com/

Truth is . . . the draft dodger ex-mayor Giuliani gets a reverse "bump" from his criticism of Vietnam vet Dr. Ron Paul on 05.15.2007 whose foreign policy is of Senator Robert Taft - not Hanoi Jane, and is the strongest candidate on the WOT by closing the border to the illegals that enter from the southern border - Chinese, Pakistani, and Central Americans.

Rudy Giuliani 'en fuego'

McCain's "Defacto amnesty" plan

Rudy Giuliani is metaphorically - en fuego " on fire " after one billion VOLTS - not votes - were delivered during his first abortion question at last nights Grand Old Party debate - cutting out his microphione during lightning strikes as he spoke -- Rudy is clearly alone on this in the GOP and in the WORLD.
Do the right thing NOW Rudy !

GIULIANI : Abortion - "It's ok"

But not to be upstaged, in the idiot department of those with with over 12 minutes to talk and show us how utterly stupid you are - was Arizona Senator / retard John McCain who asked about his "defacto amnesty plan " -

"If anyone has a better idea ?

in which case EVERYBUDDY raised their hand wanting the mike from Wolf Blitzer after which the nine remaining GOP contenders raidsed there hand for CNN's Wolf Blitz

to call on them -

answer Mr McCaon with all due respect sir is EVERBUDDY has a better idea than your "defacto amnesty plan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McCain has given a new definition to political pandering - as in I pulled a McCain"
with is a new answer about NOT having English as the official language of the United States of America with a now permanent quote on U-Tube --

MCCAIN : "Its fine !"

NO time to finish edit - but this is gonna be months of laughter provided by the two biggrest pandering morons the GOP ever has contemplated to run.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for Giuliani to win the general election - although Hitlary supporters donate to his campaign - the now unlikely GOP nomination of the ex-Democrat, ex-Independent, ex - mayor would necessitate a third party pro-lifer.

Holy Mary Mother of God !

" Thank goodness ex-mayor Giuliani is not around to mess things up this time."

Bush administration officials are delighted with the arrest last night of Kareem Ibrahim after a 16 month investigation thereby thwarting a serious plan to detonate jet fuel pipelines at JFK Airport in NYC.

Ibrahim was aboard Aeropostal Flight 861, a McDonnell-Douglas MD-82 for the 9 hour and 10 minute flight for Caracas, Venezuela when the pilots received the call for the aircraft to return to Piarco International Airport - Port of Spain, Trinidad. On its return, Ibrahim was arrested and taken to the Port-of-Spain CID where he was questioned by Special Branch head, Assistant Commissioner Richard Frederick on Friday night. He claimed he was on his way to CCS - Caracas - "to catch a flight to Iran."

Richard Kuprewicz, a pipeline expert and president of Accufacts Inc., an energy consulting firm that focuses on pipelines and tank farms, said the force of explosion would depend on the amount of fuel under pressure - potentially destroying parts of New York's borough of Queens, where the pipeline runs underground.

Buckeye Pipe Line Company is a major pipeline transportation provider in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwestern United States. The commodities the company hauls most often are refined petroleum products including JP-4 Jet Fuel to various sites from Pennsylvania to New York. Buckeye is the primary transporter of JP-4 into Newark International Airport, JFK International Airport, and LaGuardia Airport. The Jet Fuel pipeline runs from Allentown, PA through New Jersey, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens, N.Y.

House Intelligence Committee member Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-R) stated :

" Every success is one failure that didn't happen"

This arrest last night demonstrates that law enforcement is capable of penetrating terrorist plots against targets in New York City especially now with Rudy Giuliani out of office -
who as late as September 5, 2001 had fought INS rules and policy to allow a sanctuary city for terrorists on expired visas.

Algiers Exit Strategy

It is uncanny all the parallels to the 1954-62 French-Algiers situation that the present dilemna in Iraq presents,
n'est ce-pas ?

# 2

# 7 Algiers 1952 / Iraq 2007 Parallel

"For some time there has been a great deal of talk about tortures applied by French soldiers to Algerian patriots. Abundant, detailed, frightful texts have been published.
. . .
After having denied the existence of tortures in Algeria, the French have used a double argument.
. . .
The French police agent superintendent in Algiers - Lofredo - has defined for the benefit of his friends and new colleagues " (like Rush Limbaugh )the interrogation techniques that the Florida buffoon needs to promote global discontent against the United States with his Guantanomo Bay "Get your Gitmo gear " profit scheme.

"The patriot is arrested and taken to the local judicial police headquarters.
He is asked no question for, at this point in the investigation, 'we do not know what direction the questioning is to take and the suspect must not suspect that we do not know (the direction of questioning). The best way is to break down his resistance by using the so-called 'conditioning by example' method.

A few jeeps leave headquarters and bring back some ten Algerians picked up at random in the street or, more frequently, in a nearby douar. One after another - in the presence of the one suspect who is the only one of interest to the police - these men are going to be tortured to death. It is felt that after five or six such murders the real questioning can begin.

-OR-

The second method consists in first torturing the man concerned. Several sessions are needed to break down his energy. No question is asked of the suspect. Inspector Podevin - who has used this method extensively in Algiers - admits that it is difficult NOT to say anything when the tortured asks for explanations. It is therefore necessary to break down his resistance fast.
At the sixth or seventh session, the prisoner is simply told ; "we're listening to you"

WHO 1040AM Ron Paul podcast

Ron Paul's explanation of the difference between an isolationist and a non-interventionist gets really abused with the talkovers of journalists like Rich Sanchez while the media feeds us regurgitation of the laziest senator in the history of the second chamber - as the Senate was being called 220 years ago this month in Philly - forming an exploratory committe. Yes that's the late-in-everything, lazy cancer patient Freddie Thompson, who complained of the long hours voting after his one elected term as the US Senate replacement for VP Al Gore (D-TN).

The WHO 1040AM Michelson in the Morning discussion in it's ENTIRETY is - converted to mp3 format - will be podcast over the internet - available globally.
